Brief Life history and reason for sponsorship:
Ms Dolma Tsering is one of the women living with her two elderly sisters in a small house in Camp 12, in Choglamsar, Ladakh.
She is origin from Pargyo, western Tibet, from a farmer family, and cultivated mainly barley and produced tsampa.
Tsering-la was around 20 years old when the family fled from Tibet. They settled down in the Chang-thang area, India, where they continued to be farmers.
The two elderly daughters are nuns. Dolma Tsering never married and had no children. A few years after arriving in Chang-thang, the parents passed away. The three sisters moved to Choglamsar, to the Tibetan settlement, and they worked as labour on constructions sites.
Tsering-la had to stay home when her eldest sister, about 78 years old, became very ill. Today, almost 70 years old, she cannot return to work and need very much help in her everyday life, as she has no income at all for herself.
Therefore, the Tibetan Children’s Village is requesting your kind support for this poor and needy woman.
If you wish to help and provide a humble retirement for her remaining life, please, contact us.
We are grateful for your generosity.
